YOGA T.T.C PROGRAMME
Starts on November 2014 onwards....
Yogavidya is a precious gift
handed down to the whole of humanity by ancient Rishis of India. Contributions
of the great Rishis to the cultural heritage of our country can never be over
emphasised. That is why our country is very often called as “Arsha Bharatha”.
Several branches of knowledge were blessed by their golden touch and among them
Yoga Vidya occupies a unique position because of its twin contributions in the
temporal and spiritual plains. It is a
forceful medium for an all round development of the personality and also a time
tested procedure for inner growth and spiritual realization. Many still
consider it as an offshoot of Hindu religion. But we must not fail to note the
fact that Hinduism is no more a religion as the word “Religion” is understood in the normal sense
of the term. Tenets of Hinduism synchronies with the first principles enshrined in the “Sanatana Dharma”. We cannot afford to
discard “sanatana dharma” under any pretext lest it may dig the grave of humanity
as a whole.
These days study of Yoga Vidya is
gaining momentum world over. Institutes and organizations that proclaim from
house tops their preoccupations for the spread
of Yoga Vidya are mushrooming through out the length and breadth of our
country and also abroad. Unfortunately our Universities and educational
institutions are yet to give due importance for this branch of knowledge. To
our surprise many foreign Universities have even included Yoga Vidya in their
curriculum. As far as our country is concerned the governments at the Centre
and almost all States so far viewed the same as a feature of Hindu religion and
consciously denied their patronage. Political parties always having an eye on
the vote banks compete each other in their over eagerness to please the
minority religious groups. In states like Kerala where parties like Muslim
League or their splinter groups always manage to gain control over the
educational department, irrespective of the fact that whether the government is
lead by the “Rightists” or “Leftists”. They consciously deny any government
patronage to activities which they think has got a stamp of Hinduism. Hence a
precious stone like Yoga Vidya is relegated to the background allowing
unscrupulous elements to take up the mantle of this golden branch of knowledge.
Many commercially exploit the situation to their advantage, even forgetting the
founders and highlighting some of the
aspects of this branch of knowledge which they think will help to promote their
narrow outlook.
As a result serious study and
developmental research of the subject is thrown to the winds. We are in fact
sitting on top of a treasure house of knowledge which if properly opened,
displayed and practiced can do wonders in almost all fields of our activities.
It can offer solutions to the umpteen number of problems which our country is
facing at present in the field of
education, health, economic development
and social harmony
It is in this context an
institution like “Sivasakthi Yoga Vidya Kendra” has to be evaluated. Our
institution imparts training in Yoga Vidya closely adhering to the traditional
style in all its vital aspects. Resorting to modern techniques in the field of
education is not ruled out. We have clear separate syllabus for the beginners
who aspire to complete the basic course as also to those who aspire to have
higher studies in this field. We have got teachers course which equips one to
have a meaningful and noble profession. We give equal, importance to both theory
and practical sessions. We take into consideration special needs of individual
students based on their age, health aspects etc. etc. In this context we give
in brief some of the merits of Yoga Vidya which will be helpful to aspirants to
take a positive decision regarding the pursuit of this subject :-
- It helps to have an all round development of the personality. Physical, mental and intellectual aspects of the students are taken care of. Modern education gives thrust for marks and ranks which a student succeeds to get. In the process if the all round personality of individual gets distorted no body is bothered. In fact, most ills of our present day society emanates from the lop sided development of our educational system
- It helps to ward off diseases, helps to cure existing ones and thus saves much time, resources and energy so that one enjoys body bliss every moment of his/ her life which in real is the touch stone of good health
- Development of Yoga Vidya helps us to march ahead in the process of our evolution. So far the development gained by the modern society were limited by the capacities of our five sensory organs as also the to the extent of the equipments we have invented to boost their capacities. Now if we earnestly try to pursue subjects like Yoga Vidya, Tantra Vidya and several other subjects which our beloved sages have bequeathed to us we can further develop our subtle aspects such as mind , intellect, prana (vital energy) etc so we evolve further on our capabilities and faculties. We will come to know the so called super natural powers of many of our Saints and Rishis can be acquired in a systematic manner just like we study a modern science. In the light of the same many of our present day wonders in field of communication will be simply eclipsed. We are not far away from such a reality.
- It helps one to have a noble profession of a Teacher of this ancient knowledge which is a magnificent contribution of our country to the whole of humanity.
- It helps one to revolutionise health care activities of the state. Many of our life style diseases can be weeded out.
- Last but not least the present advice of our Prime Minister for making a Clean Bharath can be achieved through the pursuit of Yoga Vidya. For practicing the Yoga Vidya one should ensure clean surroundings. In fact Yoga insists cleanliness both internal and external. Clean mind and clean intellect is of paramount importance because all our actions emanate from those realms only. These were the hall marks of our ancient society. We lost most of these values as the savage invaders from different parts of the world captured the reigns of power from the local kings and tried to thrust upon us their inferior culture and heritage.
Now a renaissance is taking place
in the affairs of our country. India
is on the threshold of a millennium change. We are emerging as a world
leader. Much depends on linking our
present development to our ancient techniques, handed down to us by our ancient
Rishis. We in Sivasakthi Vidya Kendra acknowledges the importance of this
millennium change. Join hands with us. Together we can make this world great.

Fees for the
Course
Ancient techniques like Yoga
Vidya, Tantra Vidya and Vedanta are as mentioned earlier belong to the category
of Para Vidya value of which cannot be
assessed in monetary terms. Mastering of these techniques makes one all knowing which means that after
acquiring thorough knowledge ( both
Theory and Practice) in these subjects,
there remains nothing more to be known to such a person. These techniques bear
the stamp of our cultural heritage. Still it was the tradition of our ancient teachers not to
insist for any thing in return for imparting this ultimate knowledge. Siva
Sakthi Yoga Vidya Kendra in fact earnestly desires to cling to this tradition.
But unfortunately the present circumstances do not permit to stick to this
tradition. Those who are currently
associating as faculties to the Kendra
are the bread winners to their family. Though they have already dissociated
with their earlier avocations for the spread of this message without any pre
conditions, the management of the Kendra
feels that it is their solemn duty to provide a minimum sustenance to the
volunteers so that they are able to do justice to their families. Hence we
are fixing the course fee as Rs.1500 +
Rs. 100 towards admission fees. If
the fees is remitted in lump sum
Rs. 100 charged as admission fees will be avoided.
